baku, a japanese mythological creature who devours dreams and nightmares. i think this is how a real baku would look like (chimera of an elephant, tiger, lion and horse) before it was incorporated into various novels and anime of the 1980's (where it started looking like a tapir) apparently, my sister was convinced that baku really looks like a chowchow puppy... that's just me, izumi.
